“Paradise is attained by touch.”
Helen Keller
A Touch of Gentleness is rooted in three core pillars: Gentleness, Touch, and Non-judgemental Listening with full presence. These three elements are woven throughout everything we do.
Our Guided Activity Session focuses on the power of touch, offering a simple, shared experience of giving and receiving a hand massage.
In a world where many people feel overwhelmed, disconnected or isolated, this provides an opportunity to slow down, connect and experience a moment of genuine care. No previous experience is needed — just a willingness to give, receive and share a moment of gentleness.
This session is ideal for groups looking for a meaningful, accessible wellbeing activity. From care homes and bereavement groups to community gatherings, workplace wellbeing events and other shared experiences.

A relaxed, fully guided activity where participants give and receive a simple hand massage in pairs. This is not a training session, the focus is simply on the experience of giving, receiving and connecting through touch. It's an opportunity to slow down and experience the difference a small act of care can make.
Sharing a simple moment of touch can create a sense of closeness and connection, helping people feel seen, valued and part of something together.
Giving someone your time and attention can feel just as good as receiving it. Participants experience the pleasure of offering care, as well as being cared for in return.
With gentle guidance and clear consent throughout, everyone can take part at their own pace, knowing they are respected, supported and always in control.
A chance to pause, breathe and step away from the busyness of everyday life, leaving people feeling more relaxed, present and refreshed.
Sometimes, a small moment of gentleness is all it takes to help people feel a little more connected.

£80 per session | Suggested maximum: 10 people
Every Guided Activity Session helps fund our free Volunteer Training Day, supporting more volunteers to develop the skills and confidence to offer hand massage in communities where it is needed most.
If the experience inspires participants to explore A Touch of Gentleness further, there are two ways to continue:
Family & Friends Workshop: explore gentleness more deeply and learn how to offer a simple hand massage to friends and family.
Volunteer Training Day: develop the full A Touch of Gentleness approach, including gentleness, therapeutic touch and non-judgemental listening with full presence, ready to bring these skills into the wider community.
