Backup Gentleness Day

19th January 2026

Thank you to EVERYONE who took part.
It was a fabulous day with over 350 people taking part.
A true celebration of gentleness that will be carried with us into our lives and the lives of others.

The recordings of the sessions will be available by the end of next week.

For now do join in our photo competition (details below) and if you would like to leave us a review about the day or an event you attended you can do so here.
Thank you

In a world that often shouts, gentleness whispers, and transforms everything it touches.

This January, together we can rewrite the story of “Blue Monday”
— publicised as being the most depressing day of the year.

By connecting through gentleness, we will transform it into a day that restores connection, offers peace, spreads hope and joy.

'When your'e feeling down and blue its gentleness that'll get you through'.

19th January becomes

💛 Gentleness Day 💛

A day to slow down, reconnect, and rediscover the quiet strength we all carry inside.

How to Take Part

Throughout Gentleness Day, there will be:

Practical, experiential, creative, supportive and reflective free online and in person events. All our shared events are hosted by people whose lives and work embody the energy of gentleness. Each workshop will be inviting a deeper exploration of gentleness, with simple and meaningful ways to bring more of it into your life and thus the lives of others.

 Why Gentleness Matters

Gentleness is not weakness. It is strength wrapped in peace.

Gentleness and connection illustration

It is the courage to stay open in a chaotic world, to meet difficulty without adding more harm, and the strength to slow down, when everything around us urges us to rush.

When we lean into gentleness, something shifts.

Our breath deepens,
our shoulders soften,
and we arrive fully in the present moment -
that precious place where connection happens.

Gentleness is both a soothing balm for ourselves, and the medicine our world needs to meet division, stress, and disconnection with courage and compassion.

When we choose gentleness, we recognise the shared humanity within us all.

Let's rise together and be a part of creating a powerful cultural shift towards a gentler more connected world.

Gentleness, like a diamond is multifaceted.
It has a unique energy, frequency and tangible qualities that can help us navigate a sometimes hostile  and chaotic world.

💛 Join us on 19 January 2026 for #GentlenessDay and together let's be the change ðŸ’›

“Do not underestimate the power of gentleness.
Gentleness is strength wrapped in peace,
and therein lies the power to change the world.”

- L.R. Knost
